Merry Christmas

Christmas card

Here is our Christmas card photo! Next year Barrett will have a much more prominent spot. We hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas! We are so thankful for the sweet baby God has blessed us with and can’t wait to meet him in the New Year!

We celebrated Christmas with Keith’s family earlier in the month along with his Mom’s birthday.

Keith and I enjoying some Lulu’s!

Today we spent Christmas at my parent’s house after I missed all the Christmas Eve festivities with the rest of my family due to an impromptu STOMACH VIRUS! Ugh!

Then something happened in Birmingham that has NEVER happened…

045

Measurable SNOW on Christmas Day! Which meant we didn’t get to take in our customary Christmas movie with my parents because we didn’t know how bad the roads would get after the sun went down.

Barrett racked up, it’s starting early.

002

Aunt Iana and Uncle Brian got him the sweetest day gown & hat with his initials, it’s going to be his homecoming outfit. Daddy got him his first pair of loafers, so he can dress like him. Paw Paw and Nana (my parents) got him a Bama baby bib, Praise baby CD’s and diapers!

And Santa slipped something special under the tree for me, apparently he reads my blog!

004

We took some video with the new Flip camera that Keith’s parents got us, but I haven’t mastered the art of posting it to my blog. :(

Santa Baby

Santa, I know that times are hard, and as a small business owner, you have really been squeezed.  But I would like to submit my wish list for your review. :)

Happy Halloween!

Brian and Iana invited us up to Huntsville for Halloween weekend to join in on their festivities! It was so good to see them, it had been for too long. My mom sent little pumpkins with us for all three of the kiddos to decorate with stickers. So after breakfast on Saturday morning we had too much fun!

Happy New Year!

Keith and I would like to wish all of you a Happy New Year!003

We are so excited about what 2010 holds!

10 years ago I was a freshman at The University of Alabama. So was Keith. But, we had not met yet. I was driving  The Accord, that left me in 2009. This may have been the decade with the most life changes! Not sure all that the next 10 years will hold. I do know we will both turn 30.

We kicked off New Year’s day by moving some boxes into the new house and purchasing a washing machine and dryer. And the winner is…

The Kenmore Elite Oasis! Since Kenmore is made by Whirlpool now, this is the Cabrio with a different name. I can’t wait to use it. I do know that it is very important with these no agitator machines to read the instructions first because you don’t load it like a regular machine with an agitator.

Before pictures of the new house are coming…

Christmas- Take 2 & Pinwheels

One of my favorite things we ate on Christmas morning growing up were Sausage Pinwheels. That sounded really good to me, so I called mom as I was leaving work on Christmas Eve to make sure I had the recipe right. It’s so easy, I was sure I had forgotten something. Nope! After we got home from Christmas at my grandmother’s (and driving through an awful rainstorm), I whipped up the beginnings of a tasty Christmas morning!

002

No! I am not sponsored by Publix. Store-brand Crescent rolls work best and when you do your shopping on Christmas eve you can’t get too picky because pickins’ are SLIM!

Roll out your dough and layer sausage meat on top. I went a little heavy on the sausage. Oops! So, Mom says you can use 1 (one) package of sausage for 2 crescent roll containers.

003

Roll it up and refrigerate over night. It is important that they are very cold for cutting the next morning. Slice them about an 1 inch to and 1 1/2 inches and place on a cookie sheet. I cooked mine on 350 and kept an eye on them. Oh yeah, no need to grease your cookie sheet, the sausage will take care of that for you. Bake and enjoy. I prefer mine with a side of cheese scrambled eggs and a nice glass of chocolate milk.

007

We exchanged presents- I got black boots and an awesome red wool coat! My husband did  a great job picking it out!

010

Keith got a shirt he had been wanting and a leather iphone case!

011

We enjoyed lunch with my parents and went to the movies to see “Old Dogs”.

It was a cute movie! We were all pleasantly surprised!

By the way- I finished a great book this week! Seriously, I could not put it down. It doesn’t hurt that author is a University of Alabama graduate!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We are not finished yet. We will be getting together with friends till the New Year.

Thank you God, for sending Your Son!

Christmas- Take One

We headed down for Christmas was Keith’s family this past weekend. We were so glad my BIL & SIL go out of the northeast snow storm.

We got to eat @ Lulu’s!

003

It was good to spend time with Rich and Anna, but it’s never long enough. Sadly, we had to get back home for work. We did manage to snap some family photos!
