Are you ready?

September 4th is just around the corner. I’ve been browsing for game day gear!
This is what I found at gamedaygirlstuff.com.

No worries, they sell stuff for Auburn, Georgia, and Florida girls too.
Don’t want to show up to the game wearing the SAME dress as another girl? *gasp

Check out Haute Fan Couture! You can customize everything about your dress!
Another FANTASTIC site is TruColors! They are updating their website, but you can check them out on Facebook too.

We are the champions!

Christmas came a little early to all of us Bama fans! Last night we became the 2009 SEC Champions. To get to this point we had to battle the SEC west and few of the SEC east teams, which is no small feat. Then we had to face the Florida Gators in Atlanta. Here are some photos courtesy of al.com:

We are now on our way to Pasadena to meet the Texas Longhorns to battle for THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Our last National Championship was in 1992- I was 11 years old! But I vividly remember it. I got a voicemail from my Daddy last night: “ROLLLLL TIIIDE!”. I was born to attend The University of Alabama, and I am so grateful to my parents for sending me there!

Hate to cook: Taco Soup

So Iana blogged about this Crock Pot Taco soup, that she got from one of Kelly’s Korner recipe link parties. So I thought Saturday would be the perfect time to give it a try. I love to cook in Crock Pot on Saturdays because I am home (I don’t like leaving the Crock Pot going all day while I’m at work), and it allows dinner to be cooked while I do the more important chore- CLEANING!

Ok- here’s the deal, it calls for an onion, NO WORRIES, use onion flakes! I used frozen chicken, again, NO WORRIES. The chicken cooked up perfect.

What a dinner to eat while watching the nail biter we called a football game. I’m going on record as saying that Terrence Cody is my hero!

While I was home sick today, I saw the trailer for a new movie coming out in November. Looks like my kind of movie!

Did you see them? Several cameos, one by Coach Nick Saban.  The movie is based on the book “The Blind Side” about Ole Miss player Michael Oher. The trailer makes me cry- who know what the movie itself will do to me.

Hodge Podge

Prayer Requests

First, I have had a lot of prayer request coming my way lately. Either via, email, blog, facebook, text,  or people I just know. It seems like so many people have something going on that ONLY God can address. It make me think of this scene from Bruce Almighty

It humbles me to think that God is concerned with every hair on our head. He loves to hear from us. I hope I am careful not to view as my Santa in the Sky. He cares about each one of these prayer requests out there.

ALABAMA FOOTBALL!!!!

Mark Ingram. Enough said.

Mac or PC ?

macbook

So our laptop is approaching the end of its life. So this weekend we went out shopping for a replacement. First off, the bottom has fallen out on prices for PC’s. WOW! Secondly, since we have iphones, that we love so much, we thought we would look into Mac Books. WOW again! What do you guys think? Mac is winning in my unofficial Facebook poll.

Alma Mater
Alabama, listen, Mother,
To our vows of love,
To thyself and to each other,
Faithful friends we'll prove.

Faithful, loyal, firm and true,
Heart bound to heart will beat.
Year by year, the ages through
Until in Heaven we meet.

College days are swiftly fleeting,
Soon we'll leave their halls
Ne'er to join another meeting'
Neath their hallowed walls.
Faithful, loyal, firm and true
Heart bound to heart will beat
Year by year, the ages through
Until in Heaven we meet.

So, farewell, dear Alma Mater
May thy name, we pray,
Be rev'renced ever, pure and stainless
As it is today.
Faithful, loyal, firm and true
Heart bound to heart will beat
Year by year, the ages through
Until in Heaven we meet.

Yea Alabama
Yea, Alabama!
Drown 'em Tide!
Every 'Bama man's behind you,
Hit your stride.
Go teach the Bulldogs to behave,
Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave.
And if a man starts to weaken,
That's a shame!
For Bama's pluck and grit haveWrit her name in Crimson flame.
Fight on, fight on, fight on men!
Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then.
So roll on to victory,
Hit your stride,
You're Dixie's football pride,
Crimson Tide,
Roll Tide, Roll Tide!!
