TA couple posts back I showed Keith hanging my spray painted Marvin’s shelves (2 shelves- $10, can of spray paint I already had). Well here they are with my Granny’s china on them.
She always showed it to me again and again when I would go visit. She was so proud of it. It’s from England and VERY old. They hung in my dining room in the Georgia as well.
That table and chairs came from the Goodwill! I knew they wouldn’t fit in the rental, so we sold them. I was given my Nanny’s kitchen table and chairs, and to say they needed some work, would be an understatement.
Before:
After sanding, re-staining and re-polying these bad boys. Oh yeah, and a friend who happens to be a designer, reupholstered the seats.
After:
Fabric from United Textiles in Bessemer! Lamp: K-Mart; Slim Buffet: Ballard’s Backroom; Sconces: Southern Living at Home.
AWESOME!!! LOVE the china.... good job on the refinishing of the furniture-- very hard work indeed!
