Well, me and my mom! I bought fabric to make slipcovers for Eddie and Heidi's crates SEVERAL months ago. My mom had planned to help me and today she came over and we finally made Eddie's cover. Now, for a couple of planners, this was hard for us because we had to make our own pattern. We took tissue paper and measurements of the top, 2 sides, and back of the crate. We added an inch and half to each side to account for the hem and a little shrink room.
Then I cut the fabric and my mom pinned the hem. She helped me get the bobbin and thread set up on my sewing machine. She was in charge of pinning and I was in charge of sewing.
We are SO excited how it turned out! We had no idea it would look at good as it does. Now I need to make Heidi's and clean up the office for a big office reveal!

ReplyDeletethat is awesome!!! I need to do this for Bailey's big ole wire crate.... Right now I just have a twin sheet over it so she cannot growl ALL night long!! (kinda like a bird).
