Skipping Christmas

Not literally. We will exchange gifts this year. We will visit with family. However two Pilston traditions will be missing.

Tradition #1- Christmas card

I will send out Christmas cards, just not the picture ones I ALWAYS send. You will get something different in the mail once we get into the new house. Here are some past Christmas card pictures (check out that highlighted hair):

Tradition # 2- Christmas Tree

Since we are moving in January I decided I did not want to pull all of the Christmas stuff out, including our much smaller Christmas tree. Keith loves his decorator Christmas tree. Yes, you heard me right, Keith is the creator of this fabulous tree…

We have a much smaller tree now. We had to sell our 9 foot tree when we moved to Birmingham. I forgot to take a picture of it last year. We will hang our stockings on the fire place since we will not have a fireplace next year. By the way, where do you hang stockings if you don’t have a fireplace? Oh yeah, here is a little teaser of the new house…

  1. We haven't done a Christmas tree every year either. But doing some simple garland with white lights on the mantle with the stockings makes it just as nice!

  2. I am so excited that you are moving into your new home, so I suppose not having a tree this year will be okay! Keith does an awesome job decorating the tree!
