Reunited
Well- it's official! Keith and I are OLD! We were born 20 days apart, so we also graduated high school the same year, 1999. Do the math, that's right, it's time for our 10 year reunion. My school did not have anything, so when the info came in mail for the Keith's reunion I informed him we were going. The even was held at B&A Warehouse downtown. Probably 60 or so folks showed up. Not bad! Keith was so glad he went because he was able to reconnect with some people who he had lost contact with. Of course, there was some grand standing, and the people who are only comfortable in their clique segregated themselves. Those people make me laugh now. There was a point in time when I wanted to be in the in-crowd. It feels good to not care anymore. That is the beauty of getting older. You are far more comfortable with who you are.
Again, I come to you for advice! Below is a picture of my couch- which I LOVE! The problem: the cushions are worn, stained, and the twill is all streched out. I had considered having the whole thing recovered. But, I am just not ready to sink that kind of money into it. A friend works a Calico Corners and she said they could match my fabric, so I could just recover the cushions. Now, I am TOTALLY over the pillows. So I don't know which direction to move in with this neutral green couch. My plan is to pick a couple of patterns for the couch and use one of those patterns to have a slipcover made for a chair we have in $20 at a yard sale when we lived in Georgia. The fabric is hideous! So it has a Target slipcover on it now. You can also see my NEW rug in the picture. It was a splurge from Pottery Barn- I highly recommend this Indoor/Outdoor rug if you have Furbabies. If you have ideas- PLEASE SHARE!!!!
